Linux Vs Windows Benchmarks →

I can’t remember where I picked this up (I think it was on twitter), but it is definitely an interesting read. It is basically an article that runs a bunch of benchmark tests on Ubuntu, Windows Vista and Windows 7 an compares the results. They got a pretty decent machine from Dell to run the benchmarks and installed the 3 operation systems from scratch.

Obviously the results must be taken with a pinch of salt and as the author quite rightly mentions, in any benchmarking test there are a number of factors that an influence the final results.
